Liverpudlian DIY pop outfit Bright Town release their much anticipated debut self-titled EP

There’s been a buzz around town about the new Liverpudlian outfit, Bright Town. Announced to open up three sold out shows prior to a debut track dropping, the curiosity is well deserved. So who are they? Well, other than talented, scouse musicians, we’re still not entirely sure ourselves.
The six piece forms an almost-supergroup (though they will cringe at such a reference) of musicians from DIY groups within the local, Liverpool scene. Comprised of members of influential bands within the scene, these producers, multi-instrumentalists and songwriters know their worth, and from
production to output, they’ve been involved at every step, because too often is talent manipulated by higher powers.
Their eponymous debut EP shows little room for error, whilst many associate DIY with imperfection, these four tracks are evidential that this need not be the case at all. From the upbeat Decider, with all of the potential to become an indie-pop anthem, to the mellower Changing, they explore the painful reality of life in a way that only pop can, opening its arms and embracing you into an understanding.
For a debut, these lads have hit the floor running and we’re so excited to see if the superb
production is mirrored in their upcoming live sets.
